Water is a natural solvent

Water hardness is primarily calcium and magnesium

Minerals dissolved in water are present as ions. Ions have an electrical charge; either positive or negative. Ion exchange resins take advantage of this charge.

Water Softeners are cation exchangers meaning they will exchange, or pick up all positive ions. Positive ions are calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, lead, sodium, zinc, manganese, mercury, and other metals.

Water Problems and Treatment

HARDNESS: A water softener removes the hardness minerals from water and replaces it with sodium which is an inert mineral. Sodium readily dissolves in water; it has high solubility which means it will stay in solution unlike the hardness minerals.

A water softener will also exchange (remove) other metallic ions in solution such as iron, manganese, copper, etc. These ions must be dissolved in the water for complete removal. Oxidized iron will pass directly through the softener.

Autocirc the Original Instant Hot Water System

Go Green! Save Green!
Join the 46 Gallon Challenge, install an Autocirc 303 in your home and save 46 gallons of water each day without changing your lifestyle.

The average four person family saves an average of 17,000 gallons a year, 1,416 gallons a month, 327 gallons a week, or 46 gallons a day in water by installing one Autocirc under their sink with no additional plumbing line needed. The revolutionary Autocirc 303 and 909 work with standard and tankless water heaters and deliver instant hot water to every faucet in the house, no matter the distance. Providing you comfort and peace of mind at an affordable price for many years to come. Not only do you save thousands of gallons of water, but energy as well. The Autocirc only runs when you need it and turns off when you don’t with a programmable timer built in. The savings will continue to build as you see your water and electricity bill get smaller. Take conservation to the next level, be proactive.

How The autocirc Works:
The autocirc pump is installed under the sink or faucet farthest from the water heater – where hot water usually takes the longest amount of time to arrive.

A built-in temperature sensor automatically turns the autocirc pump on when the water temperature in the hot water supply line cools down to 85°F. This cool water in the hot water supply line is then pumped into the cold water line and back into the water heater.

The autocirc pump turns off automatically when the hot water supply line to the faucet reaches a temperature of 95°F, ensuring the instant availability of shower warm water with maximum temperature hot water only seconds behind. When the pump is automatically turned off by the built-in thermostat, an auto closure device prevents hot or cold water from mixing in either supply line.

Another beneficial feature is that hot water will also be instantly available at all other faucets in the supply line between the water heater and the faucet where the autocirc pump is installed.

The auto Under-Sink Instant Hot Water Pump System:
Does not require a return line.
Requires only 33 watts of power.
Packaged complete with a 6 ft. long power cord.
Requires only one pump and one installation for all fixtures on the hot water plumbing line.
Has built-in fixed thermostat or an optional, adjustable thermostat.
Has a built-in 24 hour timer which allows the selection of system operating periods to suitfamily usage.
Saves the average family of four up to 17,000 gallons of water annually.
Is silent during operation.
Saves energy, money, water and pays for itself in a short period of time (see energy saving chart below).

ACT-909 Tankless Pumps

The ACT-909 -TANKLESS is retrofit hot water circulation system designed for tankless water heating systems. The innovative product design provides a controlled hot water recirculation system for tankless water heaters. The benefits of tankless water heater systems are increased by adding the luxury and convenience of instant hot water at all fixtures in the home thus providing your customer with a true instant hot water system.

Features:
No return line required
Compact spherical motor design
Energy efficient
Silent operation
Built-in temperature control
Built-in 24 hour timer with multiple on/off settings
6 foot power cord

The ACT-909-TANKLESS is installed underneath the fixture farthest from the water heater where hot water takes the longest to arrive. The built-in temperature sensor regulates the system temperature and limits the length of time the tankless heater will be operating during the recirculation period. The system will maintain a constant temperature at all fixtures in the home providing the immediate availability of hot water at all fixtures. The built-in 24 hour timer also allows you to select the times of day that you wish to have the system cycle. The timer is programmable in 1/2 hour increments and multiple on/off settings can be programmed. When the pump is off, a built in auto closure device prevents any future mix of hot to cold or cold to hot water.

UCT-909 Tankless Pumps

The UCT-909-Tankless is a timer and temperature controlled circulator. This innovative
product design provides a controlled hot water recirculation system for tankless water
heaters. The benefits of tankless water heater systems are increased by adding the luxury
and convenience of instant hot water at all fixtures in the home. The strap on temperature
sensor regulates the system temperature and limits the length of time the tankless heater
will be operating during there circulation period. The system will maintain a constant
temperature at all fixtures in the home providing the immediate availability of hot water. The
built in 24 hour timer also allows you to select the times of day that you wish to have the
system cycle. The timer is programmable in 1/2 hour increments and multiple on/off settings can be programmed. A built-in ball valve and check valve allows for quick and easy installation and service.
